People ask us this all the time and it is a fair question because when you are planning your holiday, you want to know if a few hours on the boat will be enough or if it is better to keep the whole day free.
The simple answer is this: if you just want a nice taste of being out on the water, a half-day rental can be enough but if you want to relax properly and not keep looking at the time, a full-day rental is usually the better choice.
A half-day rental works well for people who have a busy schedule, are only in Milos for a short time, or want to try a boat rental without making it the main activity of the day. You still have time to swim, explore a bit of the coastline, take photos and enjoy the experience. The only thing to remember is how fast the time goes when you get out there. Before you know it, you’re leaving, having settled in, had a swim and enjoyed the area, the few hours can seem shorter than anticipated.
A full-day rental gives you more breathing room. You can stop somewhere you like and stay longer, move slowly between places, have snacks or lunch on the boat, swim a few times and enjoy the day without feeling like you need to rush back. Many people who book a full day tell us afterwards that they are happy they did, especially if they wanted to visit more than one spot or spend proper time around the coastline.
For first-time renters, both options can work. Some people feel better starting with a half day, while others prefer booking a full day because they know they like taking things slowly. There is no wrong choice here. It really depends on the kind of day you want. Choose a half day for something short, easy and relaxed. Choose a full day for more time, more freedom and less rushing and if you are not sure, just ask us. We can help you choose based on your plans, your experience and what you would like to see during your time in Milos.
